Black and White and Tins All Over



Old metal molds...tin, pewter and zinc... have such an appealing patina.
...some silvery, some dull and tarnished...
...some rusty.
I love them all!



These were found at a thrift store this week...





This old glass container was used to store cheese at one time.
I have it on the counter filled with old glass eggs.











Black and white quail eggs sit in old glass jars ...
... I love how they look with my old tins and molds.



I hope you are having a relaxing and calm weekend.

The weather has been incredibly beautiful...
blue skies, cool evenings...
...the last few days of August at the lake.
All is well.

    The colors in this post seem to reflect your mood...serene.
    I love the old molds especially the aspic ones and if they are a little rusty...all the better! Now what exactly would have been made in the fish shaped ones?

    It's beautiful here too, Laura. Just warm enough all day and chilly tonight - good sleeping weather.

    All of your tin pieces are wonderful. My eye is always drawn to these homely, ordinary items too, especially kitchen ware.
