Every Little Thing
I have an ever growing appreciation for the little things...
...and am determined to make each moment count!Texture background by Kim Klassen...Spending time with my parents at the lake these last summer days...
...I am so appreciative of this gift of time...
It was a beautiful weekend here in the mountains...
I hope the week ahead brings all good things!
:)
Yes, the little things that life brings us are a gift. I know sometimes I forget to slow down and appreciate the people in my life. Aren't slow and lazy weekends shared with people we love the BEST?
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful week!
Enjoy your special time, Laura...you are making memories, too...
ReplyDeleteIsn't it funny how things work out? If you were still working you may not have had all this time to spend with your folks. I'm so glad that you do. Best wishes are being sent your way,
ReplyDeleteAnnette
I don't know if you've noticed, but you inspired me to spend time with and on my family....hence...all of the family posts lately. Thank you.

Hello Laura! What beautiful photos...I love old buttons and the little flowers are so colorful against the old lace. You take such wonederful photo's. Thanks for the inspiration! Have a wonderful Monday...Maura :)
ReplyDeleteI was thinking and feeling exactly the same today. How precious every little moment with loved ones can be. My son left for college again today (he is now in Vermont, 9 hours away from home) and I thought about how blessed I was to have been able to spend 3 whole weeks with him. Thank you for always posting such meaningful feelings and reminding us about the simple pleasures. Have a wonderful week ~ Anji
ReplyDelete~*~So true..thanks for sharing~*~* Blessings,Rachel
ReplyDeleteOh so true,
ReplyDeleteWish I could turn back the hands of time here, but that is what's good in saying what's true... "I love you" to people that hold your heart. So good to hear that's what's happening with you, Laura. It is truly a gift every moment you have to say it out loud.
You touched my heart tonight, enjoy your time & beautiful week to you.

I agree...learning to appreciate the little things in life makes a profound difference... and the gift of time is the greatest gift of all. The sharing of one's time is the very essence of each life and a precious gift indeed.

ReplyDeleteEnjoying the little blessings in life, that's what life is all about. It was beautiful at the farmhouse this weekend. First day of school here today. Hope your week is a good one, Laura.

The gift of time is the very best gift.
ReplyDeleteI really like what you are doing with the textures, Laura. Those are really beautiful pictures!

You are so right...it is the little things that count. I love looking at the details, especially on old buildings where a worn doorknob, front step or bit of woodwork speaks volumes about the lives that were lived there, the hands and feet that called those places home over the years.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful images! I'm so glad I stumbled on your blog! Looking forward to reading more!
it is the little things; the little moments strung together that mean the most.
ReplyDeleteWise words, Laura. Nothing can ever replace time. :-)
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful week!
Hugs,
Anne
Thanks for the reminder - I've been so caught up in work things I've been forgetting to enjoy the little things that make life worth living - like time with family
ReplyDeleteHola Laura, your parents must be so happy that you have lots of moments with them... and yes, each and every moments counts!!!! So good to hear this.

Its so important and yet sometimes we just let time slip away on trivial matters...Enjoy each day as if It were your last is my motto.
ReplyDeletesweetly inspiring, thank you~
ReplyDeleteHello Laura!
ReplyDeleteI'm finally back but still very lazy! May be my brain is still on holidays!
You're right....little things are often the most important ones!
Hope you all are ok!

I think that learning to appreciate "the little things" comes with age and maturity. I know that as I have gotten older, I've developed an even deeper desire to LOOK FOR the beauty and blessings of each new day. Why couldn't I have been THIS wise in my younger days? lol
