Mountain Retreat

Good morning lake...
Good morning mountains...

I slept soundly last night and woke to the sun shining...
I put the coffee on, grabbed my camera and went for an early walk.

These pictures of the lupines were taken yesterday in the late afternoon sun...

No one can paint like Mother Nature...

After my walk...the morning was productive...
at least as far as cleaning goes...
...I got rid of the cobwebs and put pretty fresh sheets on all the beds.

This afternoon it started raining....and is still raining!
Did a little button therapy, worked on my journal and started a collage...

Hoping for clear skies tomorrow...
If it is I will take a few pictures to share of the few treasures I found on my ride north.

Thank you for your kind comments! I am always grateful to see that you have stopped by.
Since we don't have internet access up here...
...I have been visiting the little local library to post.

Miss you Mr. Flea!
Miss you Starla!

Have a good night!
:)

  4. Oh! If I awoke to a glassy lake the first thing I would do (after making coffee) is get in my canoe and paddle around with my camera! Just beautiful!

  11. In California, Lupines only come in yellow and blue - beautiful to see pink growing wild. Nice to have some alone time.

  21. Ah,lupines! Laura, have you ever read "The Lupine Lady"? It is one my my fave children's books. You might want to check at the library, if you haven't read it. I think it's a treat!
