Brrr....It's Turning Cold!

It was so cold in the mountains this weekend...
I told Rob that if we were ever to retire here on a year round basis...

I would get into my pajamas on Columbus Day....
...climb into bed and not come out again until April!

...April is usually when the ice on the lake finally disappears.

The frosty air made me want to come inside by the warm fire...and begin to think about indoor activities...baking, art projects, family games...

and snuggling up in warm wool blankets with furry friends....

Well, maybe not this fellow...but certainly our faithful kitty, Starla...

...Now back home I'm bringing my plants indoors as we are expecting colder temperatures here too! Looking forward to staying home this weekend and getting things organized around here...kind of nice to slow down and stop traveling for a while...
What are your plans for the upcoming weekend?

  13. It's happening here in the U.K., Laura. The cold weather has started, although not too chilly yet. It's still really Autumnal, but this morning has a real chill in the air.
We are painting three rooms !!!! It's about time. Trouble is, we seem to help our children paint and decorate their houses and ours has been neglected.
Well, it's our turn now !!!!
Lovely photographs Laura, giving us a real picture of how you will be spending the late Autumn. XXXX

  16. I am the opposite of you! I love the cold weather and consider anything over 60 degrees to hot for me!! Although the flip side is that cold weather does make it tougher to attend flea markets, guess I can't have it both ways...lol...
