It was a beautiful sunny morning so I decided to take some treasures outside to take advantage of the light and try to get some pictures. This is my Santos....found her in Chester, CT while shopping with Paula....I just love her....all in tones of grey. The pillow cover is one of a pair that I recently bought from Carol at Raised In Cotton....I just love her blog and online shop. The silver plate dish was just the right size for my 3 blue cloth "eggs", which now look like peas in a pod! The white leather gloves were 25 cents a pair at the thrift store this week...The black French clogs are wonderfully worn and dancing on the old sheet music. I just love the way her big brothers are touching their little sister in the old photograph. The French seed packets were a lucky find on Ebay. The Wedding Pure Rye Whiskey bottle was begging to be dressed as a bride! I had such fun playing with my goodies to try to make pleasing vignettes......................lots of greys and soft pinks. Hope you enjoyed the show!
Grateful and content...
...life long collector of objects with history and soul; discovering my creative self and sharing bits and pieces along the way...
To live content with small means.... To seek elegance rather than luxury, and refinement rather than fashion.... To be worthy, not respectable, and wealthy, not rich.... To study hard, think quietly, talk gently, act frankly.... To listen to stars and birds, to babes and sages, with open heart.... To bear all cheerfully, do all bravely, await occasions, hurry never.... In a word, to let the spiritual, unbidden and unconscious, grow up through the common.... ...........this is to be my symphony.
Thank you to all the kindred spirits and kind souls who take the time to leave a comment......Your support and encouragement are deeply appreciated.....I read each and every message and as time allows, do my best to reply.
