While at the lake house this week....I have been cleaning up and cleaning out...
I thought you might enjoy looking at some of the collections stashed here....
Back in the 70's when Rob and I were selling collectibles and things at shows...I was a big collector of kitchen ware.....having been a Home Economics major in college....it was an interest of mine....cooking...baking....etc.....
These are just a few of the different choppers we collected.....it is amazing how many different shapes and sizes were produced.....and of course...some were hand made.
Wonderful wooden handles....
Warm and comforting, I find these old utilitarian things.....it is fun to picture the people and their homes who may have once used these old items to fix their family's dinners....
I am writing this post from the local library which has limited hours so I will be catching up on reading all my favorite blogs next week....
In the meantime....I hope you all have a wonderful week....
Think I will chop up a few vegetables for dinner....I'm in the mood.....
