After the recent hurricane and snow storm in our area...
...there has been a tremendous response to those in need
by family, friends and neighbors.
And not just by those that we know...or those in our community.
A group of utility workers from California were outside our home,
working in the cold in their shirt sleeves
for days to bring us back power.
Thank you California guys!
The outpouring of love and offers of support by total strangers
gives renewed faith in humanity...
...and strengthens our faith in God.
...and yet there are still those suffering and in great need.
This post is dedicated to those who have helped...
...and to those that are still helping.
Thank you.
.
Truly, there are angels among us.
what a beautiful tribute to some real living among us angels, this made me cry, happy tears though,

Beautiful post. I love the angel wings on the bottle.
ReplyDeleteGreat post! I continue to read about the 60,000 people in Long Island who still do not have electric and I feel so bad for them. It's so cold now and I wonder if they are staying in their homes or in shelters and how long it will be before they can have power.
ReplyDeleteA big thank you to all of the people who came and are still working to get things back to normal. :)
I love the feathers in the bottle and the angel wings! :)
There certainly are Laura ......it's at these sort of times that everyone rallies round and help each other.
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry for all of the people who have lost their homes and precious possessions ...... I cannot even start to think what it must be like.
Here's to all of the helpers and supporters. XXXX
Beautiful post, Laura. We felt very much the same way during this past wildfire season. Definitely, there are angels among us.

ReplyDeletein the form of sweet little birds?
ReplyDeleteYes! They are angels. A crew from Georgia helped restore our power. Shout out to Sumter Utilities. God bless!

Members of my husband's police department have been sent to help as well.
ReplyDeleteI wish there was more I could do for those who have lost so very much. There has to be something more.
Do you know of any local charities that need help? Is there a local Humane Socity or shelter near you?
