One of the highlights of my visit to Brimfield
was searching for and finding beautiful linens.
Stumbling upon the booth of Wendy Lewis of The Textile Trunk
I was awestruck by her selection of gorgeous vintage fabrics.
Her booth was filled with people digging through stacks of beautiful textiles and pulling out all sorts of lovely bits and pieces. Wendy was gracious, friendly and very willing to share her extensive knowledge and history of European textiles.
It was overwhelming!
How to choose?
...all tied up in knots.
Moving on....
...here are some random shots of what I saw...
a lot of random shots...
Enough?
Are you bleary eyed yet?
(there were only 49 pics in this post)
If you're still with me...
and can stand it...
tomorrow I will end our spring tour of Brimfield.
maybe
:)
Oh...and have you seen my new 52 FLEA Facebook page?
I'd love it if you visit and click that LIKE button!
Thanks! :)
Awesome pictures - what great stuff! It is amazing how you can find oodles of random things in one spot, isn't it? Looking forward to your last post and seeing what you bought! Thanks for sharing your trip with us!

WOW! I LOVE the linens. I'd love to know what they were asking for that medical cabinet, I picked one up for a steal (I hope) last winter. Fun to see all of this stuff!
ReplyDeleteWow -looks like an amazing shopping -can't wait to see what you brought home! xoxo, tracie
ReplyDeleteWOW! All I can say is that I would have never made it outside of Wendy's booth. I could have spent hours in there.
ReplyDeleteI could see tags on some of the dishes and they looked pretty expensive. How do you know if you are getting a bargain when you go to a big Flea Market like that?
OMG.
ReplyDeleteOMG!!!!
Please, more, more pictures!!!
:)
Dani

ReplyDeleteLOVE seeing all this pix – more please! And while I usually can't understand why some people think old doll heads are creepy, I now am beginning to see where they might be coming from, lol :)
ReplyDeleteI can't even imagine all that wonderful stuff in one place. The linens are lovely. Seeing all your wonderful pictures just makes me want to be a millionaire so I could go there and buy all the things that strike my fancy. Please share more and show what you brought home.

I can never get enough of your flea market pics! The doll was, well, kind of creepy but I still loved it. Sorry, I am one of the last known individuals on earth that doesn't do facebook (it's just too darn crowded).
ReplyDeleteI'm so curious about what you bought and what the prices were like! I hope you'll let us know. I'm just loving all these pics. Such fun for all of us who wish we could have been there!
ReplyDeleteErica :)
I'm loving this! More please :)
ReplyDeleteI love the linens!!! Old shutters n blue/white tureen bowl. Reminds me of when I was in Pasadena Flea Market...inspiration was everywhere!
ReplyDeleteExcess is my way of Life so your Photo Saturated Post was awesome! Junquing Heaven in fact... I would have needed a U-Haul... and a Lottery Win... I probably would never have even made it out of the Vintage Textile Booth! *Winks* This place had everything that I would think I couldn't live without! *Smiles*

I think I want to spend my next vacation there! xx
ReplyDeleteSuch wonderful photos and so much to see! I'm very green with jealousy. I think you find the best markets and have a lot more choice than we do in England.

ReplyDeleteI love looking at these! It makes me feel like I was actually there!

Laura, you are making me long for a trip to the east coast, and I just returned from RI on Monday evening. Awesome images. Thanks for taking us along.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing! It's interesting how even though I was there this weekend too, most of the things you photographed I never even saw! An indicator of how much fabulous stuff is there!
ReplyDeleteLove looking at all the items from yester-year. Can't wait for tomorrow. Love the potty-chair, literally!
ReplyDeleteThis all looks lovely and I'd love to visit, but there is no hint where it is. It is so exasperating to see someone post something wonderful and not a clue where it is. Some advertisements, displayed on line, don't even have the town/state listed in the address.
ReplyDelete(There must be dozens of "Brimfields" in US, Canada, and the UK.)
I enjoy your blog and read it from my Google Reader so I won't miss a single post.
Can you believe there were so many great treasures to behold?!!
ReplyDeleteThe linens are heart stopping! And then there's the china... by the time I got to that wire garden stand I knew I would be overwhelmed very quickly at Brimfield. Thanks for saving me!
ReplyDeleteWow, I need to come over there for a holiday, Im so jealous, those fabrics are to die for, thanks for sharing,
ReplyDeleteTina
That was probably the BEST flea market I've ever seen! Oh, and all those old beach pales! To die for!! More pics!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat place to find yourself. xo Jenny
ReplyDeleteThanks for the smorgasbord of eye candy - how I'd love to be there with you!
ReplyDeleteThose stacks and stacks of fabrics and linens remind me of my visit to the Paris flea market...it looked just like that...I wanted to leave all my clothes behind and fill my suitcase with everything!
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Lorraine
