Continuing on our tour of my whirlwind 24 hours in
Brimfield, Massachusetts, USA....:)
This beauty and the next three shots were taken in the booth of
Five Corners Antiques.
They are from Essex Jct. in Vermont...a multi dealer shop
that describes itself as "unique and affordable"
I have to make the trip and see for myself! :)
Their booth display was beautiful.
Moving on...
...this green glass glowed in the morning sun!
Loved this blue fence.
It was already sold.
Not every booth tried for a beautiful set up
but all had interesting goods on display!
These pretty posies gave a grouping of deep fat fryers
an elevated status.
I want this blue bike! :)
Yes, this pale pink girdle was hanging out for all to see.
Perhaps...noooo...it couldn't have been a sign just for me!
Well, I loved my visit to Brimfield this spring.
Thanks for coming along with me!
What did you like best?
:)
P.S. A few pics of my finds to follow soon.
Such fun treasures...say, what were the prices like there? Just wondering.

I want to see Myrtel! My favorite thing is just the amazing mass of stuff. We have old "stuff" here on the west coast but the things you have out east are really wonderful. Thank you for the trip to Brimfield!
ReplyDeleteI'm still laughing about the pink girdle. I remember wearing one of those with the hooks to hold up your stockings. They were so uncomfortable and I always seemed to get a run where I attached the hook to the top of the stockings. HA Talk about a trip down memory lane...
ReplyDeleteSomehow the 70's era stick-on flower inside the clawfoot bathtub seemed rather fitting...
ReplyDeleteAlso, surprised to see the tall green blue pottery jar with lion's head as it is very much like one that I made. Funny how art and craft has a habit of repeating itself.
Myrtel and Bunty are sooo cute! I love the vintage blue bike....I also want it :-) And, that large fan transom in the last photo.....that must have been out of a grand home. I'd love to incorporate that transom in a house renovation. Thank you for sharing all your great photos. Can't wait to see your finds.
ReplyDeleteCheers, Loi
Its hard to pick a favorite but I adore the blown green glass balls. The blue fence is a knock--out plus the blue bike. Wow what glorious booths, thanks for taking us along.

The pink girdle: when we look back at the slim fashions of the 50's and early '60s, it behooves us to remember that in the 1960 Montgomery Ward catalog, there were 3 pages of swimsuits and 23 pages of girdles and slenderizing undergarments. No wonder they looked great in those straight skirts.
