I almost didn't go this week as there was a 40% chance of rain.
But, I said to myself...
"Self, get up you lazy thing...even if it is 5 a.m."
40% rain means 60% sunshine.
And...you know what?
There wasn't a drop of rain!
I had a great time...just me, myself and I.
Here's a bit of what I saw...
A lovely lady was selling her collection of vintage tin ware.
It wasn't until I was walking past her booth again on the way out
that I saw her "1/2 off sign".
That made me take a closer look!
She was doing what I should be doing!
Getting rid of things....
So, I helped her.
:)
These two must have been mud wrestlers...
Among other odds and ends...
I bought a tall pot of the most beautiful French tarragon
from the Herb Man...

So glad I got out of bed!

What fun!! Lots of things to LOOK at....I am trying so hard not to add unless I can subtract!!! Not easy!
So many things with which to make a fabulous 'shabby' display. No flea markets like that in my neck of the woods either, but do have a favourite auction house in Sydney where I used to find treasures, but they never go cheap.
You crack me up! Did you buy the green suitcase? I purchased a vintage bundt pan 2 wks ago :) 1/2 price is even better!

I would have spent a LOT of money. The suitcase is beautiful, the crates, shelves, linen, and although I wouldn't have bought it, the baby scales are very sweet. xx

Oh my goodness! So many grand finds! I do think that the flea markets in the US are less expensive, and more vast than in the UK.
Yummy yummy yummy!!! I would have rashly bought the blue (looks French) birdie transferware platter. Was this Elephants Trunk? And wow! I thot I had taken a wrong turn with your new beautiful header.
Just drooled all over my keyboard looking at those french white/red flour, sugar tins… and those hats!
Dear Laura, this must be a dream...can?t be there are such markets anywhere in the world......I am so amazed over all those GORGEOUS things,- and have to pinch myself for you being so lucky to have seen all this in one market place :-)

there are soooo many wonderful things!!!!! But I would have liked the green hutch for the porch. Maybe I should have gotten out of bed at 5:00 am. Have to go soon for Pete's heirloom tomato plants that he is growing for me. I bet that tarragon came from him too.

Wow, made me think of the Pasadena Rose Bowl Flea Market which is gigantic! So many things...I especially like the faded blue old bicycle built for two....I wonder why?:)
