I almost didn't go this week as there was a 40% chance of rain.
But, I said to myself...
"Self, get up you lazy thing...even if it is 5 a.m."
40% rain means 60% sunshine.
And...you know what?
There wasn't a drop of rain!
I had a great time...just me, myself and I.
Here's a bit of what I saw...
A lovely lady was selling her collection of vintage tin ware.
It wasn't until I was walking past her booth again on the way out
that I saw her "1/2 off sign".
That made me take a closer look!
She was doing what I should be doing!
Getting rid of things....
So, I helped her.
:)
These two must have been mud wrestlers...
Among other odds and ends...
I bought a tall pot of the most beautiful French tarragon
from the Herb Man...
See anything interesting?
So glad I got out of bed!
Hope you had a good weekend too.
:)
What an awesome day it must have been...
ReplyDeleteWe don't have "flea markets" here, so much...
Wishin' we did...all the kind of stuff I love...
Cheers!
Linda :o)
I saw many interesting things. Definitely would be worth getting up at the crack of dawn. Love the green cupboard with the bread box on top!
ReplyDeleteMary Alice
What fun!! Lots of things to LOOK at....I am trying so hard not to add unless I can subtract!!! Not easy!
ReplyDeleteSo many things with which to make a fabulous 'shabby' display. No flea markets like that in my neck of the woods either, but do have a favourite auction house in Sydney where I used to find treasures, but they never go cheap.
ReplyDeleteYou crack me up! Did you buy the green suitcase? I purchased a vintage bundt pan 2 wks ago :) 1/2 price is even better!
ReplyDeletexxx Liz
Wow, that's some great stuff! Are you in Florida or home? And would you mind telling me what kind of camera you use? Your photos are always gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteLooks like it was worth waking up early for! And I cracked up at the mud wrestling dolls.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!
Kat
Oh lord yes, quite a few things I would have bought but 5am.....I'm not so sure!

What a treasure trove. The roses under the glass dome...what is that? It's really neat!
ReplyDeleteDo you recall how much the green cupboard was? I just bought a very similar one in white. Just curious.

ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! So many grand finds! I do think that the flea markets in the US are less expensive, and more vast than in the UK.
ReplyDeleteYummy yummy yummy!!! I would have rashly bought the blue (looks French) birdie transferware platter. Was this Elephants Trunk? And wow! I thot I had taken a wrong turn with your new beautiful header.

there are soooo many wonderful things!!!!! But I would have liked the green hutch for the porch. Maybe I should have gotten out of bed at 5:00 am. Have to go soon for Pete's heirloom tomato plants that he is growing for me. I bet that tarragon came from him too.
ReplyDeleteNow I wonder what came home with you. Good stuff for sure!
Love ya and 'll call you this week.
Hugs, Evi
