Pink Fluff.
Our Japanese cherry tree is already losing it's pretty pink petals...
they seemed a bit different this year...more papery and ruffly.
(not sure those are real words :))
Never the less, they were still so beautiful
a few days ago when I took these photos.
A big hello and warm welcome to new readers and followers.
Many thanks for all your lovely comments.
It is so nice to meet new friends.
I did something really stupid yesterday...
...forgetting that even though I feel 20 something in my mind...
I'm fifty something and well...
...not exactly in the same great shape I once was.
Anyway...I pulled something in my back and it's rendered me helpless...motionless...bored and frustrated.
Grrrr...
I'm so mad at myself!
Hoping things will improve soon!
Hope you are having a good week.
:)

Oh too bad! What a pain. Heating pad works wonders! I hope that goes away FAST! Don't you wish those blossoms would last? SO gorgeous!
Isn't it a royal pain getting older. I hate how my body can't or won't do what it used to. Don't like the limitations that come with age. I feel your pain.
Beautiful photos!!! Those blossoms almost don't look real, but they sure are pretty.
Cindy
What pretty photos of your flowering tree.
I know what you mean about hurting yourself.Honestly there are mornings I wake up and feel like I had a fight with my bed.Everything is sore. From what?Who knows I guess it is my body getting older.Although I refuse to get old my body just can't keep up LOL.

Take care of your self Laura!!! Yesterday i was in Venice with A&D at Corte dei Miracoli Flea Market!! of course my mind was thinking at you!!! leaving for tuscany on Monday!! see you soon!! Much Love....
I feel your pain....literally! I really isn't fun having our backs, legs, arms...whatever body part of the day becomes....remind us that we aren't kids any longer.
Take care of yourself and enjoy the next set of blooms that are sure to appear soon.
Hello Laura,
Your cherry blossom are so pretty. Ahhhh, I wish you a speedy recovery.
Smiles, Paula
Sorry to read about your back. Let's hope it feels much better for garage sales this weekend.
The flowers are beautiful. xx
Sorry you are not that well! Lovely photos!AriadnefromGreece!
Isn't it frustrating to feel like you can do anything you once could only to have the ol' body say "No..you can't. I won't let you."?
I could tell you to take it easy...but would you listen?
Love cherry blossoms...reminds me of the tree in our back yard back in the day.
Deb
Such a lovely post and when the petals start to fall it is like a pink Christmas snowfall. Soooo understand the 50ish thing. I will be 58 in May and something is always telling me my age these days. LOL. Hope your back feels better soon.
Beautiful pink fluff. Love how you captured your blossoms on camera. Sure hope you're able to be up and around soon.
Mary Alice
And at night... when nobody is watching~ the birds each gather a fluffy pink pom pom and start cheering you on! Hope you feel 100% soon~

rest and take the time to catch up on reading and dreaming. Patty/BC
Un bel univers floral, très poétique.
On s'y plonge avec délice. Merci,
car toute cette fraîcheur me fait
le plus grand bien. Bonne fin
de semaine. Elza Jazz
Your photos are just dreamy. Thank you so much for sharing.
It has gotten chilly here in Southern PA. We have been so spoiled with warm temperatures that when it is normal we are surprised! But so many of our plants have bloomed so early, it is very unusual. I just hope the chilly temps don't do damage to the many orchards we have here.
I hope you feel better soon.
Laura
Sumptuous photos! I just love those Cherry Blossoms. They don't grow here in Santa Barbara. When I visited Vancouver, Canada, they were in full bloom everywhere and just stunning. Sorry about your back...has happened to me also. However....although I wish I were 30 something...I'm planning to continue acting like I am, even though I'm 60 something! Hope you feel like you're 20 something again very soon!!! Carla
Hi Laura - WOW! Your blog and photography is awesome! Thank you for your visit and comment on my new blog. I'm delighted to find you. I'm an avid gardener, amateur photographer, and collector of many, many things. I can tell we're gonna get along :-) With cheers from DC, Loi
PS - Just added your blog to my blog list. Have a great weekend, Loi
oh! I do hope you heal quickly! Our spirits never age, so I too feel like I'm 20 something even though I'm really 50 something! It's hard to remember sometimes. ::Jill
LOVE your new banner! And the photos of the pink blossoms are exquisite. Thank you for bringing spring to my cold, gray, rainy day.
So sorry to read about your mishap. Back pain can be so thoroughly miserable.
Feel better soon. Thank you for all of your beautiful posts. Although this is my first comment, I have enjoyed your blog for over a year and look forward to each new entry.
Warmest regards ~ Leslie
Hi Laura...do take care of yourself! There is nothing worse than a hurt back. Although I dropped a little wrought iron bird on my foot the other day...so painful!
I am loving how you are changing up your header to match your posts! Your blog is looking pretty in pink!
Take care of that back girl. Not fun when you're afraid to move. Your garden is lovely with all these mature trees. I just have my potted ones here to enjoy. I guess thats better then nothing:)

Hi Laura,
I love these pretty blooms! Indeed so fluffy and pretty. So sorry to hear about your back. I developed a herniated disk 2 yrs ago, and it stopped me from doing a lot of things too. I had a housecleaning business, and I can no longer do it. :( I know how you feel. Hope you're better soon. Just give it some time.
Hugs,
Debbie
Hey Laura - What is better than something that's pink and ruffled...? :) Those blooms are so so pretty! I hope that you're feeling better today, sweetie. It's no fun having an achy back.
xoxo laurie
I sure hope you feel better soon Laura!! It is hard to remember that we are not as young as we used to be. Especially when we feel young at heart!! Get well wishes and prayers for you!
Blessings~

Dear Laura!
Oh how sorry I am to hear you hurt yourself. I did the same thing late last summer which warranted several trips to the chiropractor! Your fluff is just the right kind of pink I love. Thank you for visiting today! Anita
Beautiful...
Spring where are you, it´s still winter here?
Oh my Laura,
These photos are stunning!!! And your new header is just gorgeous!!
I'm so sorry about your back! I know what you mean, I was moving furniture around yesterday and pulled something in my lower back, I keep forgetting that I'm not 20 years old too! :)
Hope your feeling better soon and have a lovey weekend.
Sincerely,
Melinda
Ciao Laura,
Your photos are faboulous!
Hope you're getting better! I use to "abuse" of my body too forgetting I'm not 30 anymore! May be it's stupid but feeling young means being young in some way!
Take care!
Vale
