Last week we took a drive up to the lake house.
It was cold...
...very, very cold.
It was gray.
In Florida...it is blue...
...and the prettiest shade of blue green.
Oh my bags are packed...
I'm ready to go...
(I think I feel a song coming on...)
Tomorrow I am going to visit my Dad!
Mr. Flea is reluctantly letting me go.
I will miss you Mr. Flea.
So kiss me and smile for me,
Tell me that you'll wait for me
Hold me like you'll never let me go.
I'm leaving on a jet plane,
Don't know when I'll be back again.
Oh, Babe...I wanna go!
Remember that song?
Hey, he could come if he wants!
He wants to ski!
:)
Be safe. Have fun. Soak up some sun!
ReplyDeleteI was singing the song right along with you.

P.S. I remember that song by Peter, Paul, and Mary. Am I giving away my age?

I sure do remember that song. It has very special meaning for me, it was sent, as my now husband was leaving to backpack around Europe, just after we had started dating! We must be of the same vintage!! Enjoy your visit with your Dad...and warm sunny Florida. N.
ReplyDeleteMy mother used to sing that song ALL of the time...and now nearly every time I'm getting ready to leave the house, I sing or hum that tune out of habit. Too funny. Enjoy that beautiful sunshine!
ReplyDeleteI love the little bottles of flowers. So precious!
