Princess Peggy

A few weeks ago while visiting my girlfriend Evi....
she gave me three adorable tiny dresses.

They are not doll dresses, but salesman's samples of actual dresses made by the Princess Peggy Clothing Company.

Small scale sample dresses complete with the zippers,
 bows, trims and details.

So charming!

So cheerful!

Perfect to display in the laundry room over the washer and dryer!
Thank you Evi !

We have family here this weekend and the newly painted white cabinets and grey counters in the kitchen are a big hit...
...even with Dan!

Thank you for all your encouraging comments and wonderful suggestions for the back splash and lighting.
We are making progress! :)

So far the weather has been good and we were able to take friends out on the lake for a long boat ride...
We are hoping the sun continues to shine.

Hope your holiday weekend brings lots of sun and fun!
:)

Dear Laura,
Why is it that everything made on a smaller scale is so appealing ? I can remember the door to door salesman who sold furniture polish and would give my mum a sample of lavender polish in a tiny little tin. I loved that tin of polish....and, when you see a pair of shoes in the window that look so nice, go in to try them on, ask for my size and, when they bring them out, they don't look anything like the ones in the window, as they are always the smallest size in the window and look so much nicer than in my size !!
Such sweet little dresses with all of the details, but on a smaller scale.
So glad that the weather is lovely and that you can spend time with your friends outside.
Have fun Laura. XXXX

Cute as a bug! Now I need to read those backsplash comments. I'm doing some kitchen remodeling and could use some good ideas too.

What sweet little dresses, Laura! Isn't it amazing the vintage items that can be found that were once "salesman samples"? Love your idea to hang them in the laundry area as decoration!

Hope you holiday is filled with fun and relaxing times with loved ones!

A quick "Google" search for "Princess Peggy" nets a lot of very interesting info. I never knew these salesmen dresses existed, nor the factory. Incredibly nice of your friend to give you some, as I would imagine they are hard to find. Would they fit a Barbie doll?
