What a wonderful post for early September Laura. I love old books whatever their subject. They all have that particular smell don't they ? I can smell it now !! We went to an Antiques Fair on saturday and, I bought a little rusty clock, some chemist bottles, an old pair of glasses and a little shop display sign in old English money....you would have been so proud of me Laura !! XXXX
It's so hard to believe that summer is over and school has, once again, begun. Oh, if only we could capture time! Perhaps that is why you and I have such a love for vintage, Laura. It is OUR way of capturing time. ;)
Hope you have a most enjoyable weekend!

My childhood was wonderful and my school was such a huge part of that. I dearly love vintage school supplies, books, everything. But I rarely find any old school related things besides textbooks (which I can't resist). However, I was able to add to my little collection a little tray of teacher's stamps (remember how after grading the papers, a teacher would stamp a pumpkin in the fall, a Santa at Christmas, and so on?), a writing tablet from the 40s with Betty Grable on the cover and a few pencils.
and I thought I had alot of old books. Looks great. The gandkids are happy to be back in school and already in full swing. They were getting bored. Think of all the wonderful books and old school things they missed out on. A computer and I-pad are just not the same. Well, we enjoy them too. XOXO, Evi
