Summer Thoughts

In between sanding kitchen cabinet doors
 with Dad and Uncle Don...
and pricing items for the booth,
and feeling a tad sorry for myself,
that I will not be browsing fields of treasure at Brimfield...
and missing Mr. Flea and Starla...

I have been day dreaming about August.

You know what happens every August?
Besides fresh tomatoes, corn and peaches?
yum,yum!

Yes!

I almost never miss it and have been going for twenty years or more.

In 2009, Carole from Maynard Greenhouse, Deanna from Gather in Ivoryton, CT and my junking buddy Paula all came for a girls weekend of antiquing and fun...pure bliss!

Last year, I met up with some blogger friends!

Gina from Vintage Junk In My Trunk and
Judi from The 1829 Farmhouse and almost met

...and I hope to meet them again and maybe YOU this year!
Let me know if you plan on going! :)

Until then...
Happy Summer Thoughts!
:)

That sounds like a fun weekend! Wish I was closer. An antique fair in August here would be torture with the heat, although I suspect it is pretty warm there too!

Strawberry-Time is almost over in Germany! We had a lovely spring but it was so dry, that there weren't enough of those delicious fruits!
Thanks for showing!

Yesterday and so far today have been a continuous "one of those day"...one frustrating moment to the next! When I woke this morning dealing with many of the frustrations I had from the day before...I was ready to burst! I decided to see what was new with your blog and the first thing to load was your wonderful photo of a bucket full of luscious and then another...before I knew it I was feeling a bit more relaxed! THANK YOU for your lovely blog and for giving me a place to escape when days are just a bit too much ♥♥

I meant to write a bucket of luscious strawberries...but I suppose a bucket of luscious describes my feelings as well :)

I've traveled up and down the East Coast to attend and, sell at, antiques shows, Laura. But I've never made the Madison Bouckville show. MAYBE this will be the year...and maybe we WILL meet IN PERSON. ;)

As always, your photos are wonderful!

Nothing better
than meeting up
with like-minded
bloggy pals; I've
done it several times
and a few at events
like this one. Enjoy!
I had to smile at "Dad
and Uncle Don" as I
have both of those,
as well and they are
both very handy, do-it-
yourself types : )

PS: Not wishing away
July, though....This
summer is going way.

Laura, I've been waffling about going this year (gas prices/distance, etc.), but this shoutout of our mishap last year just might put me in the YES column!
