Mom

 1927    ~    2011

My beautiful Mother passed away this afternoon.

My heartfelt thanks goes out to all of you who sent their love,
well wishes and prayers during her illness.
Words cannot express how much your thoughtfulness
and caring has meant to us.

My Mom was a person of deep faith and we know
that she is at peace and with God.

With gratitude and love,
Laura and family

  15. Laura, when I saw your post title, I just knew what was to follow. My heart is sad for you and your family. I'm sure your Mom was a wonderful person and greatly loved by all.

This is a hard time, I know. My Mom has been gone now for 3 years...It's still hard, but it doesn't hurt quite as much as time goes on.

I pray for peace, comfort and strength, especially through the coming days.

Michael sends his best as well.

Lean on God...He's there for you.

  41. I'm so very sorry for your loss. As so many of the posters above, I lost my mum too...July 4, 2006. I miss her everyday, yet at the same time I find myself thanking her everyday too. Time, which at first can seem such a burden, becomes a friend because the gifts our mothers gave us, which we often took for granted, become so clear...and so dear.

Here's wishing you peace and love and gratitude.

Wonderful you know she is in the greatest place of all time. I lost my Mom in 1992 when I was 43 and even though time does soothe the pain somewhat we always miss our dear Moms terribly.
I included this poem for you. Laura you have many many good friends that love you and care .
    ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
Nothing is lost - not a hair, not a breath!
The lilac that blooms today is made of
last year's crumbled leaves and this morning's dew.It has in it perhaps the breath of a tiger and minerals that were part of an ancient dinosaur. The raw materials of that lilac have perhaps spent time in a seashell, a wagon wheel, a butterfly and a hawk.

How old is this morning's lilac? - And how old are you. You are as young as the morning, as old as the world, You are as new as a raindrop, as old as the mountains.
You are forever a part of the world.

God's finger touched her and she slept.
