Gratitude

Thank you for all your expressions of sympathy and love.
Your support and prayers are deeply appreciated.

I am grateful for so many blessings...

...for the beautiful and close relationship I had with my Mom
...for the gift of time to be able to be with her so much this last year
...for a loving, understanding and supportive family
...for wonderful friends
...for my faith.

Spring is here...
Mom loved this time of year...
...a time for new beginnings.

Wishing you a joyful spring!

With much gratitude and love, Laura

  18. The loss of a Mother is like loosing part of oneself for it is the only relationship that a unique sharing occurs beginning in the womb... the sharing of a heartbeat.
May these sunny Spring days help to heal your loss, embrace you with love and engulf you with the tenderness of life.

  23. Hi Laura, I am new to your blog, and already feel a connection to you. My wonderful Mom left her earthly abode to be with Jesus in 2004, and I always miss her most at this time of the year...her birthday, their wedding anniversary, and Mother's Day.

My heart goes out to yours, as I pray for you and your family. May the God of all mercy and love bathe you in His peace, and comfort you in His mighty arms. I will continue to pray for you. I know she was blessed, too, by all the time you had with her.

    Love and hugs,
    Becky

  27. I am proud to say that my Mom was my best friend. We spent so much time together and truly enjoyed each other's company. After she passed away I was so very lucky to have such wonderful memories to lift my spirits when I would miss her the most. Sounds like you will be just as lucky.

    Take care,
    Sandi

  28. .....I don't even know you, but you have been in my thoughts so much. Prayer is powerful and I know that so many of your blogger friends have been with you in thought and prayer. I was very close to my mom as well as I may have told you. With time, her memories will put smiles and laughter in your heart...........but healing takes time for those that loved her. Never forget that, SPRING WILL COME AGAIN. OX

  29. Laura, thanks for posting these lovely photos! At this time of year in Wisconsin, where we're still battling the winter temps and snowstorms, these pics are a much-needed reminder that spring is on the way!:-)

  30. Laura - I hope that the warmth of the spring, the sunshine, and the hope of the new season will help to comfort you in this truly heart breaking loss. The empty spot in your heart will not be filled, my friend, but it will heal over time. You are blessed that you had a wonderful relationship with your Mother - those memories will be so so special to you.
