We have a 1930's cottage on a teeny, tiny lake in PA. Your close up weekend sounds just like ours which come to think of it needs to be done and soon.
Just think, it won't be long before we will be opening up for summer 2011.
It is a melancholy feeling. Closing the door for the long winter months. It is more fun to arrive for spring. Have a nice week. sandi

Closing up for the winter is always sad, but what a beautiful sunrise you got as a going away gift from nature.
What lovely photos but always sad to close your house for the summer - but it won't be long before you are back again and another summer approaches.
