Writing Her Own Story
Happy May Day to all...
...and Happy Birthday to my daughter Kate on her 24th birthday!
...(old apothecary bottle from the thrift store last week)
Kate is celebrating with friends in NYC this evening...
She is much more of an adventurer than her mother...
...and is writing her own story.
We are very proud of her.
Today was beautiful and warm ....an exhausting but fun day!
Mr. Flea took me to a church sale early this morning and then to the sale at the school across the street. We had a lot of fun, met up with friends and all found things to take home with us.
I found some interesting things and will share pictures later on this week.
Tomorrow, I hope to visit my regular weekly market...
...The quilted fabric below was found there a few weeks ago...
I love the browns and reds together. I think that it is fairly old but I am not an expert at old fabrics. Maybe you can tell me more about it?
I hope you are enjoying your weekend...
...the weather here in the East is spectacular!
:)
Happy Birthday Dear Kate
ReplyDeleteMay your hopes and dreams bring you much joy and happiness this year... and good for you.. writing your own story!!! May it be a bestseller!!

I hope your daughter has a wonderful birthday!
ReplyDeleteMay 1st, is my Grandmother's birthday ...I'm not sure just how old she would have been but, her daughter, my mother is 92 and somewhere in the middle of ten children, so it would have to be more than 120 years at the very least...goodness!
Happy Birthday, Kate! Laura, that fabric is stunning...a fabulous find!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to Kate! 24 is a great age. May her adventures always bring joy,
ReplyDeleteAnnette
The fabric when it's enlarged looks like barkcloth with pleats? Sewn in strips?
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday to your daughter! I hope it was wonderful for her!!
