Lab Work
Among the more unusual finds this weekend was a box full of lab glass...
It was at the sale in the school across the street.
It looks pretty sweet with my Yale lab table.
You think?
Add to that my set of lab tubes that I found a few weeks ago at the thrift store...
I have used them to sort my buttons...
...yet again.
...and then another zip lock bag full of skinnier lab tubes...
Have you seen the article about altered tubes in the current issue of Somerset Life?
Now I know what to do with my finds!
I loved this issue .... so many clever ideas!
OK,
... so the set of lab tubes that I bought at the thrift store weren't from a lab but from Dean & Deluca....
...they once held all kinds of herbs and flavorings...
They fit well though!
I don't think I will be doing any chemistry or physics experiments anyway.
Mr. Flea was not impressed with my lab work.
He still doesn't like my old Yale lab table.
Oh well! I thought it was rather fun.
More show and tell finds to share tomorrow...
Have a wonderful evening!
:)
What a great find!

Love those buttons in the test tubes, what a great way to see what you have. Florence
ReplyDeleteI love them!!!... The Science teacher is having a baby at our school and I'd thought of using all the lab equipment as vases and such, for the shower. I think it will be very cool. If my school ever gets rid of their slate lab tables I will so be at the auction! I already have my eye on a beveled glass Nurse's cabinet they've shoved off in an ole' forgotten corner. Lezlee
ReplyDeleteLove them, and I wish I had been there to purchase them. I started a collection 20 years ago at least. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteExplosive!!!! wonderful find. I love that you stacked your buttons in the test tubes. Cutest idea all day.

I LOVE your Yale table and have a few like that myself - and love the chippy look! I managed to score some very old lab test tubes with the numbers etc hand etched into the sides. They have been holiding my wee bits and pieces for a while now.
