Pretty blue enamelware.
The colander belonged to my grandmother.
I love the simplicity of these utilitarian pieces.
Although I have different colors....
...this blue color is my favorite.
Irma hosts Enamelware Monday and I thought that I would participate this week.

What a beautiful collander and from your grandmother, that is so special!!
ReplyDeleteThe collander is wonderful. You are a lucky girl to have such a useful, everyday piece from your grandmother.
ReplyDeleteThe blue emamel wear is one of my favorites as well, and in these parts it's called Madam Blue! I have collected some of it on holiday in Sweden and Denmark, and one of my best buys was a doll set!
ReplyDeleteHave a nice week!
Regards,
Cathrine :-)
I love your colander...and the strawberries look delicious. I have my mother's old colander, but pretty plain compared to yours.

Oh, I could have picked up a little French double-boiler that would have joined your collection nicely this weekend! I didn't because it was being sold by a dealer, not an individual, and they know the value of their enamel ware...
ReplyDeleteThat's a beautiful collection, Laura.
Oh my , those strawberries are making my mouth water. They look so pretty in that beautiful colander. I hope your Mother's Day was as special as you are!!
ReplyDelete... this blue is pure summer ... and with the red of these jammi strawberries ... WOW!

Did you see the antique granite buckets and pitchers that Pottery Barn is selling? They look just like yours! I can't believe all the old stuff that they are selling now.
