A Fun Day
I woke up this morning and my sister handed me a cup of steaming hot coffee....
...we sat out on the lanai and looked out over the pool and beyond to the golf course...
...this is the life!
I took a quick picture of this little treasure that I found at the thrift store yesterday afternoon...
...I can never pass up old velvet...especially old blue velvet.
Do you know what this little piece is?
My guess is that it is an incense burner. What do you think?
After breakfast we picked up my parents and drove out to Ft. De Soto Beach...
...a beautiful natural beach in the South Pasadena area...
It was a beautiful day and we enjoyed spending time in the sun and sea with my Mom and Dad.
Just as we were leaving I looked down and found this lucky sand dollar!
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
We hope to do some more thrifting tomorrow and perhaps a flea market or two...
Take care!
:)
Oh how wonderful to see those sights for the day, love the sanddollar find. It's been so long since I found one whole like that!

Ohh seeing pictures of Florida just makes my heart ache, I spent so much time there as a child. We tried to get a flight there this Easter from the UK but they are all sold out! :-(
ReplyDeleteLooks like you are having a wonderful time...
Wow...the size of that sand dollar is amazing! Oh how I'm looking forward to warm weather..great pics too.
ReplyDeleteGlad that you're enjoying a restful, relaxing time.

Ah Florida, the sun...you lucky girl!
ReplyDeleteI would think this is a souvenir, meant to put on your deks, as a presse papier if you wish. I personally wouldn't design anything that combiness fabric and burning. I googled Mekka but discovered the mosque over there is a tad too large, so it will be elsewhere. Not the Aya Sophia in Istanbul either, but it might be one of the others over there. Have fun!
Hello Laura, what a beautiful place for a cup of coffee, your pictures are so beautiful and I love the sanddollar.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend.
Lovely greetings, Mea
Magnifique endroit!
