I am definitely a gray, blue and creamy white kind of girl.
Sometimes I love a touch of red or black...
or a pop of aqua...
Those who know me well, know of my strange, inexplicable aversion to orange...
...these photos have a just a smidge ...
...but mostly they reflect the color of straw...
A quiet night...half way through the week...
...rainy day expected tomorrow and then a sunny weekend is predicted!
I'm counting on it!
:)
You make everything look pretty!
ReplyDeleteHere is my question, where do you keep all of this stuff?
I think you need to open a store!
You have the best stuff.
Rosemary
Laura amor, I never thought about what a pretty color straw could be...I love it...thank you for making me think outside the box :) Besos, Rose

ReplyDeleteHey Laura
ReplyDeleteYou are so cute!! they are right.. you can make anything looks wonderful.. and i love the look of natural wood and straw .. although I too have an aversion to orange and yellow... every now and then I get a yellow or orange frenzy.. then,... gone.. poof.. haha
Been raining here also... but sun out weekend.. also...i suspect a few degrees warmer though.. Have a great week!!! xx Julie
I have the same aversion to yellow...I have no idea why but the straw is inexplicably beautiful..;p
ReplyDeleteSometimes we need a second look at a certain color, don't we? I think I like straw..... it is kind of catchy!!! I just love the type written recipe cards, somehow they make me smile!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Margaret B
p.s.
you are going to have be like Corey and add a pay pal button!!!!
Your straw pictures are so pretty....love the neutrals too, but don't be so hard on orange. Although not in my home or clothes now, I am a 70's girl and orange is a favorite of mine!!
ReplyDeleteOoh...I really love the pastry cutter collection- wonderful!
ReplyDeleteLaura, love this post. I love and also collect old whisk brooms and brushes...they are so interesting. I'm with Rosemary (first comment)...where DO you keep all your amazing things? I can almost imagine a room with cupboards, tables and shelves full of great 'stuff' all artfully displayed and color and style coordinated!
ReplyDeleteHappy Wednesday,
Susie
DEAR LAURA,
ReplyDeleteLOVE YOUR PHOTOS! EVERYTHING LOOKS PRETTIER UNDER YOUR LENS!
HAPPY DAY,
ROSA
Loved the pictures, your creative mind is amazing! Have a blessed day!
ReplyDeleteLovely and original post. I've always been a colourful girl...now I'm becoming a creamy white and natural tones's girl as well....nice change.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Zaira
ISN'T IT WONDERFUL THAT EVEN ORDINARY HOUSEHOLD ITEMS CAN LOOK SO AMAZING!
ReplyDeleteI can't remember how I found your blog but I'm so glad I did! Your photos are always so beautiful. You have a way with color and your still life arrangements so professional!
ReplyDeleteDiane
I love straw (the color and the real thing!) too. In fact, I have been kidded about how many bundles of wheat I have scattered about the house. That compulsion began with my French Country phase and I've kept the wheat because it does blend so well with the additions of the Danish things I've begun to add.
ReplyDeleteLove the photos you used! (As always.). ;)
Have a wonderful rest-of-the-week!
Hope all is going well for you. :)
Ruth
Orange has got to be my least favourite colour as well. But I do love creams, browns, beiges, soft greens, very deep burgundy reds ( defo not bright reds ), earth colours really. And occasionally very soft powdery blues.
ReplyDeleteYour photographs are always gorgeous, the simplest things look a million dollars.
I love your blog! I love these pictures and the sunlight captured in them, they really made me feel so strong feeling of happiness and I could almost feel the warmth of the sun and the lovely summer breeze. In Finland we have so much snow and today it´s a very gray day, so thank you for these pictures and showing some sunlight to me!
ReplyDeleteGreat pics so nice to see a different theme isn't it? I love the color of wheat as I travel down the road in the summer the wheat fields are breathtaking. Have a nice Wednesday.
ReplyDeleteyour photos showcase the color of straw beautifully!
ReplyDeleteQue objectos tan bellos !!!! y las fotos son preciosas !!! Enhorabuena !!!!
ReplyDeleteUn saludo
Nuna
Those colors are always so soothing and can go with anything. I love collecting wine corks too but at times I wonder why...seeing yours have reminded me it isn't crazy!
ReplyDeletexo..Carole
Your blog and photos are so lovely and inspiring! I'm glad I found it today. :)
ReplyDeleteLovely pictures, I love these warm 'wooden' colours! I'm always amazed when I see your collections of all kinds of things, you have so many wonderful objects! It looks as if there is no end to it, and I'm glad you share them with us!

Ciao Laura! You know I hate orange either but I like the natural shades of straw! You can give a special look to everything! It's raining here...hope in the sun for the week end!
ReplyDeleteBig hugs!
Vale
These pictures are really relaxing-I love the natural fibers of the brushes and the wood colors. Very soft and soothing. I lean toward wooden kitchen implements for that reason. Used and handled and worn...Sherry
ReplyDeleteHaha Laura that is so funny. I just adore orange and yet have a huge aversion to green. Not toooooo hot on yellow either. Strange our relative attractions to colour. I see we share the quintessential blue though!
ReplyDeleteI, too, am totally into those colors. Strolling the aisles of the flea market, it's those that leap out at me. Paging through ebay...those are the ones. I do like red and ahem, I love orange (sorry). But I'm a monochrome kind of gal mostly. Love the photos you chose!
