Red Christmas Cheer!
Red is invigorating and inviting....a festive color!
Cheerful...
and oh so fun!
Found this red vintage little girl's wool coat at the thrift store years ago...
...had to have it!
This sweet little Ellie in a silver pitcher is by Cathy Pendleton of The Cheswick Company.
I will be heading to Connecticut this weekend for fun and games with the girls....
...a visit to Cathy's annual open house will be a highlight!
Red berries and cinnamon sticks!
This old Santa is just a wee bit scary....
....but look, his beard is a fake...he can't be the real Santa!
Our Christmas stockings from when we were kids!
This darling woodland creature was made by Lori Ann Corelis....
You can see more of her incredible work here...
Red is energizing and makes me happy...especially Christmasy reds!
...if only I could harness that energy!
Wishing you all lots of red Christmas cheer and lots of energy as we prepare for the holidays!
:) Laura
Laura, your pictures are just lovely, but my favorites are Ellie and that adorable bear :) Ellie took my heart though, when my eldest was a bebe, she had a special friend (imaginary) that she called "Missuer Elifant" I hope I spelled it like she said it :) But he was her best friend and went everywhere with her, to this day when she gets in trouble or is lonely and sad...she still calls for him :) she is 19 now. Wow! Such a happy post. Sweet collection! ~ Angela
ReplyDeleteThe little girl's red coat is so wonderful. I am a traditional bright red at Christmas woman, combined with bright green. It does give me energy!!

Love those white mittens with the cherries! Lots of Christmas cheer to you too! ~ Rebecca
ReplyDeleteGreat post you cheered me up! That little coat is just to precious and the mittens and your old childhood stockings, wow! You certainly have a lot of history kept. And all the handme downs from family I just wish my family had been memory keepers but my Grandmother and Mother could have cared less to keep anything. Too sad. But now I'm the memory keeper and I keep acummulating more history all the time and its fun! Thanks for such a cheery post.
ReplyDeleteThe little Raggedy Ann pin is adorable, so simple yet adorable.

Red just shouts Christmas, doesn't it Laura ? I love your stockings from when you were children. When we were little, we used to have pillow cases instead of stockings. I don't know where that tradition started but, I loved it as you could get loads more presents into the pillow case !!!! XXXX
ReplyDeleteNow I know what's missing here (and therefor I procrastinate...) a tad of red! Your photos definitely cheer me up! Love everything, but I guess the raggedy Ann brooche is my favorite! Thanks for sharing the fun!
ReplyDeleteDon't know about the Santa looking scary, he looks to me as if he had one too many glasses of sherry, lol, slightly inebriated.
ReplyDeleteOh Laura, my very favorite picture is the one of your childhood stockings... Ahhhhhh, how sweet:) I have to say, that Santa is a little spooky, but like you said... his beard is fake so he is an imposter! Love all the red! Have a blessed day!
ReplyDeleteOooohhh Laura your photos are always just wonderful I'm in love with the little sweet Ellie. How sweet!!!!
