How very fitting that tomorrow, the day my Christmas tree goes up, the forecast is for
snow!
It will be perfect, as least from my perspective....
With Christmas carols playing in the background and snow gently falling outside...
I will unwrap all my treasured ornaments and decorate our tree...
Rob, however isn't as enthusiastic about the impending snowstorm...
...or even putting the lights on the tree for me...
I will just have to convince him that he needs to get into the Christmas spirit...
..."
I saw Mommy kissing Santa Claus..."
:) Hope your weekend is full of fun!
P.S. The
White Christmas sign was created and hand painted by Paula's talented sister, Annie!
Laura, I hope you get the feeling of Christmas with the snow falling and the tree being decorated. How absolutely perfect! Enjoy your Saturday!
ReplyDeleteBonjour Laura! Have a wonderful time decorating. Your husband will get into the swing of things once he gets started - and the 'Santa Baby' thing will definitely work!
ReplyDeleteOurs goes up tomorrow as well. Enjoy the decorating time with your family!
Hello Laura... happy decorating and happy snowstorm! We too are expecting snow this weekend... Your White Christmas sign is just beautiful too! Bisous... Julie Marie
ReplyDeleteOh you lucky thing! Well, it is just ICY COLD here in Florida! :) We're in the 50's right now (maybe) and it's after 10PM. Hey, you take what you can get, right? :)

ReplyDeleteLight a fire, pour some wine and put on Vince Vance & the Valiants "All I want for Christmas is you!" and I think the tree won't be the only thing lit up!
ReplyDeleteI love the way those paperwhites are tied together. I can almost smell their wonderful scent!
Debbie

Oh Laura, would Annie like to make me a wooden sign like that ? I loved it as soon as I saw it on my sidebar. ....and so beautifully done.
ReplyDeleteNow, not too much kissing under the Christmas tree...you'll never get all of your decorating done.
I have to say that, putting the lights on the tree is my least favourite job.
Have a lovely time doing all your decorations this weekend, Laura. XXXX

Laura,
ReplyDeleteMaybe a few snow showers late this afternoon in Syracuse. Strange...we have NO SNOW yet this year! Maybe we can hand off that Golden Snowball award to someplace else in NY this year..with a little luck.
Enjoy your decorating today and meanwhile, I'll be working at the shop for the community tree lighting ceremony and village walk.
Tami
Mmmm - would he be more thrilled if you asked him to wear a Santa Suit to go with the music ? ;-) I can even send you some mistletoe by express courier... Affectueusement, Ange
ReplyDeleteHI Laura
ReplyDeleteWell I am envious!! NO White Christmas for me!! In fact... I have never seen a White Christmas... it is on my 'To Do In This Lifetime List' All my Christmasses have been HOT...the closest I can get to this is turning the aircon up to max.. hahaha
It sounds so wonderful... I have obviously watched too many movies and too much tv as a child but I think a White Christmas would be perfect!! I love your White Christmas sign too... gorgeous!!!
Ok... I'm off to turn the aircon up.. xxx Julie
LET IT SNOW...LET IT SNOW...LET IT SNOWWWWWW.
ReplyDelete:)
Love that sign. It says it all. Lucky you, I hope you get snow. Here on the coast of the Carolinas we don't see it much. Tomorrow is forecast sunny and high of 70! Oh well, I got fake snow scattered all over the place.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with getting your tree up. I'm putting up my tree, etc. this weekend.
ReplyDeleteOh Laura, the sign is so gorgeous to me!!! I'm so glad you're putting your tree up ~ seems as though our husbands lose their enthusiasm for this stuff!!! I hope you are having a wonderful weekend, stay cozy! xxoo, Dawn
