Last Flea at the Lake
I'm heading to the lake this weekend to meet a girlfriend driving over from Vermont and to go the Warrensburg garage sales and flea markets....
It's an annual affair and fun to trek around hunting for treasures!
The photos here show some of the finds I sent to the winners of my 200th post Give Back in August. These items were all found at the Madison Bouckville show where I shopped as the personal shopper for the winners.....
....so much fun!
So this weekend, I will be shopping for myself.....the Warrensburg event is much smaller but always fun as this little Adirondack town puts out all their junk and we flea marketing, yard saling scavengers happily paw through it all! I'm dressing in layers as the temperature has dropped and bringing my umbrella as rain is expected. On more than one occasion it has snowed this weekend at this sale!
... I hope you all have a great weekend! Happy Hunting!
Take care, Laura
Have fun and it sure looks like it was a great giveaway. I wish I had won all that good stuff but congrats to the winner:) Have a blessed day!
ReplyDeleteHappy hunting. I will be going to the flea in Cedarburg, Wisc. this weekend. I too will be dressing in layers...it has been in the low 40's in the early morning before the sun up. We are suppose to have rain tomorrow, but not Sunday.
ReplyDeleteHi Laura,
ReplyDeleteHappy hunting. Hope you have lovely fall weather and find some more terrific flea-finds.

update,i checked with my sister who paints icons and your pictures are definitely icons as already stated. icons are windows or doors to the sacred, because they make visible the invisible word contained in scripture and in the lives of the saints. an icon must always be true to scripture, history or the teachings of the church. the gold basket is probably made by hand & not factory. what is missing is either oil lamp or glass vase for holding the sanctuary lamp. a lit lamp is generally hung in front of an icon. it is big or small, depending on the size of the icon. i just had to tell you all of this. probably it is more than you cared to know. definitely, hang these in your home if that is what you choose. cherish!!! there i am done:) bestest,Denise
ReplyDeleteand.....by all means happy hunting this weekend. the weather may be nippy, but you will have fun. Bestest,Denise
