100th post Give Back
It is amazing to me that I have reached 100 posts already....having only started 52Flea on February 15th ....this means that within 80 days I posted 100 times.....hmm...I guess I have a lot of stuff to share....
Well, I see that the blogging thing to do is to have a give-away to celebrate your 100th post....so to that end...I have decided to have a "create your own give-away". I am just getting to know you all and since I have artist friends, antique and vintage loving friends, junking friends, decorating and designing friends, jewelry making friends, etc., and since everyone has different interests......
I thought it might be fun for you to specify a category of goodies from which you would like me to select your prize! Goodness me, I have plenty of stuff to choose from.....so if you are interested in receiving a treasure from one of the categories listed below.....all you have to do to enter this give away is to tell me you "want in" and leave your name in the comment section (please make sure you leave me an email address or contact information if you do not keep a blog). I will pick one name out of a hat next Monday night, May 11th......if your name is picked.....just let me know which category of prize you would like me to pluck your treasure from! Does that sound too complicated?
Here are the categories: Nostalgia, Wireware, Tinware, Enamelware, Ephemera, Kitchenware, Vintage Sewing, Vintage Millinery, China, ......oh for goodness sake....tell me what you like and I will try to find something amongst my treasures that tickles your fancy!
This blogging experience has been so much fun and an outlet for my creative interests....I think of this as really more of a "give-back" than a "give-away". I thank you all for being so friendly...so willing to share and for being so kind to me....
If this sounds intriguing to you and you would like two chances to win.......mention this little give-away (or give-back) on your blog and then let me know....I will add your name twice to the hat!
Thank you everyone for all your support and encouragement!
I'm having so much fun!
I just discovered your blog...it's so special. I luv it. Kindly include me in your drawing. I luv most things vintage french...enamelware & wire, zinc.....I adore it all. Congrats on your 100th post. Cheers, angie diehl
ReplyDeleteNo thank you, but I can't wait to watch this!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your 100th post! I really love all your categories for your blogging "give back", but I guess I will have to go with Vintage Millinery.
ReplyDeleteYour posts/pictures are unbelievable! Pick your own catagory, are you kidding me? Everything you've have is awesome, I'd have to say surprise me! ~The Sweet Gardenia
ReplyDeleteWow it's great that you've reached that 100th mark. I'm so happy I encouranged you to try it...thinking if I could do it anyone could. I'm so glad everyone has gotten to see how wonderful you are. It comes thru in this blog and in your writings. It's like all those years of collecting and loving all things old and sometimes discarded have brought you here. I wish you all the best for the next 100 posts....and beyond!!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations
Carole

What a great idea! I think I have to pick 'vintage sewing' as my choice. I am just 1 or 2 posts away from my 100th (though not in as short an amount of time as you) and I think I just may do a similar give-back. That is, if you don't mind.
ReplyDeleteI feel kinda guilty about this, I've only just discovered 52 Flea, but I guess that is the point right? I will banish my guilt by adding you to my blog roll!
ReplyDeleteCount me in!!
Michelle

What a great idea to give a gift to your readers... when I'm ready dive in by starting my own blog I'll have to try that! Please include my name in the hat, and I hope your next 100 posts are as much fun for you as reading thru your archives are for me! Cheers, Jen (jen@flowerdancer.com)

I love sewing things, especially buttons, among the other categories you've mentioned. I also could go with ephemera or kitchenware. Thanks for the offer. I also am having a giveaway on my blog for my 500th post. Have a looksee.--Sally
ReplyDeleteYou can thank Dawn (The Feathered Nest) for hooking me up with you. You are now in my list of faves to visit every morning!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your 100th post ... time flies, doesn't it?
I like your style - a "give back" rather than a "give away" ... quite clever. Also, it's really fun to choose what I'd like to win and even more fun not knowing what I'll win - just leaving it in your hands. Now, I'd love to be chosen to win something from the Vintage Millinery category - or something bird/birdnest related.
Thank you ... see you tomorrow!
SuZeQ
PS - I'll email you with my address since I don't have a blog!
Dawn said you are her type and you are. I love your site and have bookmarked you.
ReplyDeleteI chose vintage sewing. I love them all but this iswhat poped in my head first.
