I took a few pictures of the china in my Mother's cupboard for you to see (right through the glass!).......the teacups are two of many that she collected throughout her 60 year marriage....the other pieces were passed down from relatives.......everything in my parents' home is so sparkling clean!! 
It seems like your Mom and you have the same love of beautiful things. Makes me want to have a party and invite all my friends for tea.
