September and October were beautiful in the Adirondacks.
Here are a few photos that show just a bit of the beauty
of our mountains and lake.
It is always sad when we close up "camp" for the season.
But things changed quickly up north
and they have already had their first snowfall!
Things have changed here at home too.
Life has it's seasons.
These days we are spending time loving and caring
for the oldest members of our family.
It is such a privilege.
So grateful for family, friends and faith.
Hope You are enjoying the season!
Beautiful photos, I would love to see the east coast during fall...someday.
ReplyDeletePrayers for your family.
Breathtaking! Thanks so much for sharing. We don't get many of those bright reds in our areas. Sadly, winter won't be far behind.
ReplyDeleteAll I can say is WOW!!!!
ReplyDeleteMy favourite season... next to Winter of coarse and you've captured all its beauty in the wonderful pics you've shared.

ReplyDeleteIt has been years since I have seen a "true" fall season...I yearn for the sights, the smells, the sounds...

These pictures have been food for my soul this morning. I think I've gone through them a half dozen times. They are...breathtaking. We create so many beautiful things with our hands, but nothing creates the beauty that only the hand of God creates! T have enjoyed my visit with you today and I'm saving these pictures for when my spirits are low or when my eyes need rest. God Bless you
ReplyDeleteThis is just breathtaking! Beautiful pictures...
ReplyDeleteHave a nice week, take care!

How I love your attitude about care-giving dear Laura. I wish more people could see it. I know it's hard but it brings one so much joy if one will let it. It stretches us like little other things can and prepare us for more understanding to all of those around us.
ReplyDeleteYou think I live in a lovely place...but you my dear must live in a heaven :)))))
hugs from me...
Your photos are stunning. Any and all could be a postcard to mail out saying "Wish you were here." and I'm positive you are holding that thought in your heart as well.
ReplyDeleteIt is a privilege and one you do with grace, for after all...a leaf doesn't fall very far from the tree.
Bless you,
Deb

It's always so hard for me to believe that there are places out there - that I haven't seen in person - that are so very beautiful, Laura. I couldn't stop looking back over your photos..... :)

What breathtaking views. I adore fall and I never grow tired of seeing how people capture it's beauty. You always take fabulous pictures.
ReplyDeleteNYS is so beautiful in the Fall. Thanks for the lovely photos. My husband and I would love to move back east and have a house in upstate NY- maybe, some day….
ReplyDeleteLast night, when we closed our front door when our family left, I recounted with my husband, the past weeks list of friends and family we had hosted for various reasons. Full blown meals, or just desserts in the yard. I have intentionally determined to do more of that. It feels good. It's easy to recluse yourself away in an art studio...and there is a time for that...but hosting and sharing time, definitely has its long term rewards:) beautiful days...time for you to add a pin it button:) Laura
ReplyDeleteI would be sad to be leaving all that Fall beauty to. Lovely pictures.

So lovely! Our neighbors have a second home in the Adirondacks and we've thought about going several times but haven't made it up that way...yet! And you are so right about life and its seasons, you will never regret your choices to care for loved ones...young or old.

Stunning photos! Looks like you hit it at the right time...we missed it by a week or two. It was still nice but I think it had peaked by the time we arrived.
ReplyDeleteWE didn't realize it had snowed up there already. WOW!
Enjoy your time with family.
