Armed with my trusty GPS, some hard earned cash
and lots of optimism and trust...
I found my way, all by myself, to the infamous
Brimfield Antiques extravaganza.
Oh...I have been many times before...
...but this time I came alone and from a different direction.
And...let me reiterate...
all. by. myself.
So...what did I see?
A lot of treasure.
Did I take photos?
Oh yes..lots and lots.
Without further adieu...
...here are some of the sights I saw on my first day at Brimfield.
One of the best parts of my trip was meeting up with some
wonderful gals that I know through blogging.
Jackie, of Bliss Farm Antiques and I have been chatting and
following each others blogs for several years now.
I was delighted to finally meet her in person as well as her
charming husband Steve. Her booth was beautiful and full of
wonderful French treasures that she personally sought out and
found while traveling in France.

so cool...
that color blue...
These tiny vials of watch parts were in Mary's booth
of Vintage Inspired.
Her shop is located in Burlington, Vermont.
Mary was so nice to talk to and had a lot of interesting things.
You know...my kind of stuff!
Mary shared her booth at Brimfield
with Jessica from Willow House in South Burlington, Vermont.
Check out the elephant head drawer pulls...
...and doll head clocks!
...lots of industrial items...
While in this booth...a couple purchased this old wood ladder.
There were so many things to see...
...and I have lots more photos to share.
To be continued...
:)

ReplyDeleteI so wanted to go this year...I have been other years, but the dates didn't work out this time.I usually go up a day early to pick up my son from college, but he isn't coming home until next week and the drive is just too far for me to go twice. ReplyDeletegosh I love the bottles and the linens
ReplyDeleteI have always wanted to go to Brimfield's. I heard about it several years ago but live to far away to make the trip. I can see there were loads of great items. I am partial to Bliss Farm Antiques because I am a Francophile and love French antiques.
ReplyDeleteI have a couple of the Frozen Charlotte dolls that I purchased a long time ago. They are so sweet!
I have to say you are a brave woman making that trip all by yourself! You should give yourself an "atta girl" pat on the back!
I visited Brimfield back in the 80s where I found an amazing convergence of unique items. Bring your walking shoes as it spans many open fields!
ReplyDeletebest,

Laura! Geez, I want so many of those goodies. Love the twines from Bliss Farm. And, all the garden goodies: cans, urns, planters :-)
ReplyDeleteIf I went by myself, I'd buy wayyyyy too much, and get into all kinds of trouble. You have fun and behave, ok? Please share more photos! I'm seeing lots of garden items. Yay!!
