I love the blues in these old spools of thread.
And, I am loving this book!
Oh my...the photography!
Just gorgeous....those indigo blues.
Etcetera ETC. by Sibella Court.
Definitely a favorite book.
Hope you are having a good week.
The sun is shining, the sky is blue!
Tomorrow Kate and I are getting new looks...
I think.
I keep waffling...
between cutting my hair shorter or keeping it long...
between letting my silver hairs shine
or continuing to color them in order remain a brunette.
Maybe add a few highlights?
And Kate...
...well we never know what Kate will do...
...but at 25...no matter what...
she always looks beautiful.
We'll keep you posted!
:)
ETC is one of my favourites - it was a gift from a friend for my last birthday and I wasn't sure what it was all about until I opened it and fell in love.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful time being pampered tomorrow :-)

Beautiful blues! I embrace my grey and let it show but I have to admit from a distance it doesn't look too grey. I do love the freedom of not coloring it but you need to do what feels best for you. Keep us informed about the new looks,
ReplyDeleteplease.

Hi Laura
ReplyDeleteLove the blue post, one of my favorite colours.
I am having a similar dilemma, thinking of changing to brunette instead of blonde but still not sure. Good luck with your decision making. As Sue-Bee quite rightly says, go with your heart.
Take care

That book looks wonderful. I'll have to search it out.
ReplyDeleteLove those blue threads! Would love to have a copy of the book, all the ideas in it would be so helpful for a novice decorator like me :)
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Mary
yes, that is a wonderful book...she also has a new book out - I believe it is a guide to vintage treasure hunting in NYC...love the spools of thread too...
ReplyDeleteI regret that I did not pick up that book last summer while at Anthropologie. I carried it around the store for a while with my boys following me and telling me to hurry up. We were heading back to Kuwait the next day and I decided I didn't want anymore carry-on stuff so put the book back on the shelf. :/ Blue is my favorite color. I'm always back and forth on the long and short -- right now am keeping my hair longer, and definitely coloring the gray although my husband says I shouldn't even bother because at some point it just won't matter anymore. :) Hope your day is great. Tammy
ReplyDeleteAnother lovely post! Love all the little blue things. Egretta
ReplyDeleteBeautiful blues, Laura! I love to display old spools of thread myself. Hmm, I've not seen that book on the shelves of my local bookstore. I'll have to check into it.
ReplyDeleteSo...will you be showing us your "new" look? ;)

ReplyDeleteI'm sure your new hair with be beautiful. I saw someone on a makeover show that looked just like you today. Her hair was similar to yours but with more waves and layers. That would look darling on you. If I can find it a pic I'll sent it to you.
