Found Nest


 We found this bird's nest woven with bits of birch bark yesterday.


Here it is displayed under the glass cloche sister Lynn 
found for me a few months ago.


Tomorrow Lynn and I are going to take a little day trip...
...see what we can find.

    I think that bird was a "stylist" ... I love how she used just the right touch of a white birch to enhance her place ...hee-hee.

    I love to find a real nest. Love that one with the birch bark in it and what a great cloche. I do know where a robin's nest is when she leaves it. Have a great weekend!

    Beautiful nest! I was gifted a humming birds nest for a friends yard just the othere day, so sweet and intriging at best!

    There is nothing better then the nest of nature, leaving the man made ones for others.

    Have a beautiful hunt, you have inspired a weekend trip for my daughter and I will look for some nest as well.

    Your "found" nest is beautiful - especially under the cloche. I find nests, blown down from their perches, around my little farm all the time. It's a bittersweet thing. I'm always happy to have another beautiful item to add to my nature collection but sad that a sweet little bird lost its home. ;)

    A friend told me about your blog. Very nice! I love your cloche, it is a real unusual one. Have fun with your sis! I have four of them and we have so much fun when we all get together and go gallavanting. That's what our mom use to call it.

    Love your pictures and the idea of putting the bird nest in a cloche.
    This bird nest is a very nice find and as it looks like it is still in a very good shape.

    My sister used to be my treasure hunting buddy too but now we are living about 650 miles apart from each other and we see each other only twice a year.
