We found this bird's nest woven with bits of birch bark yesterday.
Here it is displayed under the glass cloche sister Lynn
found for me a few months ago.
Tomorrow Lynn and I are going to take a little day trip...
...see what we can find.
:)
Details of the 700th post Give Back
will be revealed in the next day or two.
I think you will like it!
:)
Until then, I hope your weekend brings a little bit of fun
and a lot of quiet, calming moments!
:)
Lucky you, to be going out and about with your sister. My sister Katie is my favorite treasure hunting buddy. Good luck and have fun, Susanne.

Beautiful nest! I was gifted a humming birds nest for a friends yard just the othere day, so sweet and intriging at best!
ReplyDeleteThere is nothing better then the nest of nature, leaving the man made ones for others.
Have a beautiful hunt, you have inspired a weekend trip for my daughter and I will look for some nest as well.

And sings the tune without the words,

That's very pretty under the lovely cloche... It always amazes me how they do it.... From the eagles to the little finches........No blueprints......! Maryanne xo
ReplyDeleteOkay, I know this isn't a contest or a one-up-manship blog, but how about an envy invoking one, I'm so wanting your large 1952 chef bell cloche.
ReplyDeleteYes, your whole scene is calming. Thanks for sharing.
a bird's nest is an architectural wonder and you are very lucky to have found one like this.....
ReplyDeleteYour "found" nest is beautiful - especially under the cloche. I find nests, blown down from their perches, around my little farm all the time. It's a bittersweet thing. I'm always happy to have another beautiful item to add to my nature collection but sad that a sweet little bird lost its home. ;)

My sister used to be my treasure hunting buddy too but now we are living about 650 miles apart from each other and we see each other only twice a year.
