One of my favorite flowers, I just planted new ones in my yard a year ago and this year my 2ft. ones are blooming! Once there up nice and tall it will give me much needed privacy from my neighbors.I know it will take years but I have the patience. Yours are gorgeous!
Such beautiful photos of one of my favorite flowers. Ours bloom later becasue we live at a higher elevation, but I'm noticing them everywhere down in the valley. I think Spring has finally sprung:-)
The biggest drawback living in southern CA is that we don't have the weather for lilacs. I lived in MI for 2 years, and nearly drove off the road everyday with wreckless glee because there were hedgerows of lilacs there. Thank you so much for filling my heart and mind with this beautiful gift of spring, Laura!! These are just so perfect. You are a lucky girl. :) xoxo Sherilyn at Clear Crick Cottage
Oh Maura! Your lilacs just hurt my heart!! I miss them so!! I even went as far as buying a lilac scented Yankee Candle air freshener for my car...just not the same! Thanks for sharing your farm with us! You're so sweet that way! Love your photos!! ♥'s Sherry
My fave flower of Spring time. We have esp! gosh, ha, ha! I was thinking yesterday when they bloomed, how was I going to photograph them. Aww, you beat me to it. Lovely! I'm waiting, patiently;) xxx Liz
I've heard they don't grow well here in our climate - so I'll enjoy yours. Are you ever torn between leaving them on the bush, or cutting them for a vase?
they are so beautiful, they remind me of a house in Wales i lived in which was full of lilac trees...when i get my own garden they will be the first thing to plant!! xx
Gosh Laura!!! I thought I was reading another blog when I responded to you!!!! Duh! Sorry I called you Maura! I do love your photos...and lilacs!! ♥'s Sherry
Beautiful, Laura! I can hardly wait for ours to bloom. They're budding out right now, so it should be soon! :) They always remind me of my childhood backyard where we had a huge purple lilac bush!
How glorious! OK, so far, you've posted on my three VERY favorite bushes - hydrangeas, peonies, and lilacs. Combine that with our shared love of rusty, crusty, chippy, vintage goodness and it's no wonder I've been camped here at your place for so long. ;)
