Red Enamel Pots

Coffee?
Tea?

The lazy days of summer are slipping away...

Autumn is in the air...
It's just a matter of time.

My three red enamel pots were a hit this summer...
...sitting festively on the deck rail up at the lake.

They provided pops of color against the green background of the forest...
...much like the red geraniums and impatiens stood out from the background of the dark green cottage.

They won't appear quite as striking as the green leaves turn golden, orange and red...
But they will still look inviting as we sip our tea and coffee and welcome the cooler temperatures here in the mountains.

Are you sad to see the summer go?
Or are you excited by the return of routine and the busy schedules of autumn?

Summer or autumn?
They both have their charm...
:)

  5. I am sad to see summer go by, I wish I had more time at the beach but Fall is my favorite time of year. The weather is just right, the colors are amazing and I love cooking all the food (comfort, hearty). So it's not a bad trade off.

  7. A visual delight...love the red!

We had an exceptionally hot & humid summer so fall sounds appealing, except for the early darkness that it brings - ugh!

  8. Ooh ~ I adore anything enamel Laura and I can see how these would be a hit. I love summer and all that it has to offer ~ personally I am going to hold onto for as long as I can this year. I do like autumn ~ warm days ~ cooler nights ~ harvest ~ comfort food. I guess that all the seasons appeal to me somewhat but I would like about 2 weeks of winter ~ preferably in December and then it can go away....

  9. Your photos are exceptional as always. Summer here in Virginia was (and still is) impossibly hot, so I missed far too much of it opting for my air conditioned house instead! My garden went to pot as did my energy! Roll on Fall so I can enjoy what is left of the scenic beauty here, sit outside and sip on iced coffee and not be eaten alive by mosquitoes!! Thank you for always making me 'stop and smell the roses'!

  10. I think the changes are what makes us appreciate and enjoy each season. Glad the heat of summer will be gone but I'll miss the freedom. Happy to see the colors of fall and the coolness, but work keeps me VERY busy. Your pots are just beautiful, as is your photography.

  12. Since we have had record heat here in AZ, I am more than ready to let summer go. Of course, we don't have a typical Fall, but it is better than 115 degrees!!

  16. Love the red enamel pots. I can see them in the winter by the fireplace with steaming coffee and tea also. Beautiful photos. I am holding onto summer for a few more weeks...I think I am one of the few to do that!

  17. Love all of those red enamel pots! Each one is charming. I feel the same way about the seasons. Although I am sad to see summer slip away, I am anxious for fall. The crispness of the air, the color of the season. Each season has it's beauty and I embrace the charm of each!

  18. Those red pots are delightful...especially since it is my favorite color! Must say I don't want summer to go just yet. Today is rainy and we will have months of that once summer leaves.

  19. I can feel the coolness of fall in the air. I just hope our gardens make it to full prime before the first frost hits. Love the red enamel ware, it does just make the background pot. Florence

Since we have had a super hot summer here in
north Georgia, I am ready now for fall - it's
my favorite season anyway, but it never lasts
    long enough for me.

  26. I adore red enamalware and have a small collection. There is something about that cheery color that just makes me smile. Spring and summer are my favorite seasons. We have had a very cool summer in Southern California. I know the rest of the country has suffered with excessive heat and are probably looking forward to fall. I hope it's a cool fall for them.
