Mountain Retreat
The weekend promises to bring sunshine and good times.
Dan's law school friends are packing their cases and coming for a visit to the lake house.
My sister and family will be here too...
...the more the merrier!
This afternoon I sat and relaxed with a book on the deck for a little while...
...sort of the calm before the storm!
...and then late this afternoon Dan took me for a ride in the boat...
I never get tired of looking at our beautiful lake and the mountains beyond...
...and catching glimpses of the cottages and cabins, camps and mountain retreats that surround the area.
...this weekend he will take his friends skiing and tubing...
...but for now...for me...it was a slow and calm, sightseeing tour of the lake.
I hope your weekend brings what you are looking for...
...either lots of fun with family and friends...or lots of relaxation and peace...
...maybe a bit of both!
:)
Interesting shoes for sure. You guys and gals have fun. We are hosting a nineteenth birthday party for our daughter. Should be loud, fun, and not boring. hugs♥olive
ReplyDeleteOh, that sounds like so much fun, a lot of laughter, good food, and friends! In a gorgeous setting, it does not get any better than that!

I love your red chair and pillows! Where/when are those shoes from? They make me think of ancient Himilayan shoes.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you will have a great weekend!

Hi Laura,
ReplyDeleteWe are in South Dakota and I wish I had remembered to bring the camera. We came in at twilight and the light and shadows over the corn field, river, cows in pasture and weathered houses were so beautiful. Every place has its own beauty.
Your lake setting looks gorgeous and how sweet of your son to take you out for a ride.
Hugs,
Suz

What a beautiful place. We helped paint our friend's cottage on lake in Mass. a couple of weeks ago and I fell in love with it. I would love a little cottage in their little world. So pretty and peaceful. I am glad you are having such a great time:)
