Missing Mr. Flea

Parting Is Such Sweet Sorrow...

Absence Makes The Heart Grow Fonder...

I am a firm believer of short good byes...
...and long hellos...

Looking forward to saying hello and seeing Mr. Flea again in a few more days!

All the old shaving brushes and straight razors are part of a collection housed up at the lake house....
...we have to have a few manly things amidst all the feminine and girly stuff!
:)

  1. Hey Laura. I know you'll be so glad to have him home again! Yes, they need things to. Lucky for you, you get to chose the ones for him too.

  2. Laura, I love those old shaving brushes. Can't find them around here for less than $10. Am I cheap or what? ;-)

My hubby collects little models of 50s cars.

    What's fair is fair! ;-)

  4. My dad bought a Bakelite shaving brush when he was in the army in 1955. I used it to brush his neck clean after I give him a hair cut last month. When I was little I would sit and watch him lather up his face using the brush. He'd always put a dollop of shaving cream on my nose just for laughs.
When the time comes, that little green brush is all the inheritance I'll need.

  7. This isn't the same......but can remember my mom telling me how her grandfather would let her comb his hair while he sat & read the paper.
She was only 2 or 3 and he had no clue she was't tall enough to reach the sink.
The water she used was from the commode.
    :0)
My memory is his clay pipes.
Always gave me a new one to go on the porch & blow handmade bubbles my nana made for me. :0)

  20. My Bill used his Dad's bakelite shaving brush for years when we first married. Now it is safely housed with my antique dresser set that was handed down from my Great Aunt Clara, to my Mom, to me. I treasure these mementos.
BlessYourHearts and may the jump for joy when reunited.
