I walked down to the mailbox this afternoon and noticed that my next door neighbor's yard was full of flowering trees...
These trailing pale pink blossoms gently waved in the warm breeze...
Our yard has at least 8 dogwoods and a beautiful Japanese cherry tree....
...but not a single blossom has appeared yet!
It is something to look forward to!
A blogging friend has pointed out that I am approaching 400 posts!
Guess it's time for another give away!
Hmmm....I will have to give this some thought...
...perhaps I'll sleep on it!
good night! :)
What a lovely treat to see on your way to pick up the mail! :)
ReplyDeleteIs there anything more beautiful...WOW !!
ReplyDeleteOh those soft pink blossoms look dreamy...I'd be tempted to float some in a dish....do you think your neighbour would mind you picking a few?
ReplyDeleteThose are very pretty. I was so happy to come home to the Magnolia blooms. Not a bloom in sight on the dogwoods here either.

Hey girlfriend!
ReplyDeleteDon't ya just LOVE spring!!! Of course, down here in Texas, along the gulf, we pretty much see different plants blooming throughout the year. I can't imagine what it would be like not to see flowers in bloom or even "green" grass (much less grass period---with all that white stuff you get)!!!! Guess one day you will have to come down to bayou country during your LONG HARD winter and get some sunshine in the south and watch the flowers bloom during the winter? :)

Such spring loveliness. Your trees will bloom soon and then your neighbor will be envious. :)
ReplyDeleteLovely, lovely blossoms!!

ReplyDeleteDear Laura,
ReplyDeleteSorry that I've missed a few of your posts. I had food poisoning from a slippery little oyster !!!!
The blossom looks beautiful. One of my favourite signs of Spring. We waved our daughter and boyfriend off to Japan on Sunday and they will be there just as the cherry blossom is at its best. It's supposed to be a wonderful sight.
Congratulations on 400 posts. That is a feat, indeed. I'm only up to 80 something !! I'm small fry compared to you !! haha.
Enjoy the blossom. We are not quite at that stage but, not long now. XXXX
So sweet and delicate! Just lovely, Laura. :-)

I would like to have a dodwood tree in the garden, the flowers are so beautiful, I wonder what it would cope with out Somerset weather...

ReplyDeleteThes are so beautiful, Laura. I remember dogwoods from my time in the States. Even as a small child, I was very taken by the flowers. Please show us some when they finally come out!
ReplyDelete...simple loveiness! Spring trees that flower give us such a spectacular show!

That pale sweet pink color is fantastic! You got some great shots. I've just realized that my sun roses did not survive our winter here in Wa state, which was mild. Now I've got to tear them out and replant.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pics of the pink flowers. I am glad I found this blog. I have really become a fan of flea markets since I started blogging. I love some of the things you have found and how you have used them.
ReplyDeleteThese are gorgeous! Thanks for sharing them...I love pale pink flowers. Have a great day!!

ReplyDeleteAhh - I posted our Japanese Cherry Blossom a week or so ago. I'm devastated that it is soon to finish. I just love spring for those beautiful pink and white blossoms, the first bees and the nesting birds.
