Trip to McGill U in Montreal
We left Gleason looking longingly after us....
...apparently wishing he could go look at colleges too...
...but he was in charge of protecting and looking after Bobbay....
My sister Mary Beth, Joe and I arrived in Montreal around 4 pm and took a walk to catch our first look at McGill, the prestigious international university.
On the walk, we passed some beautiful shops which I was not allowed to stop in!!!
...at least not yet!
That was our first glimpse! Isn't it beautiful?
Today, we are meeting Zita of Mlle Magpie who will be taking us to Rue Notre Dame to see the sights and point out the antique shops ! :)
This afternoon we will be touring the University and sitting in on a session for accepted students!
What a wonderful city Montreal is...
I will share the rest of our day and any interesting "finds" later!
Hope you are planning a fun weekend!
:)
I love Montreal! I visited for the first time this past summer and just loved it. How lucky to attend the University there!! Enjoy your visit and I look forward to hearing more about it! (We loved shopping in Old Montreal...so old and quaint.)

Nice fun weekend too.
I haven't been in Montreal since 1967. I do remember the Fantastic Hotel we stayed in and dinner where they had a real live little pig on the waiters table. He rolled it around to let us feed the pig with a baby bottle, the shop's were Gorgeous. That is a beautiful University. What a fun place to go to college.
ReplyDeleteI bet they still won't speak English there.
It was hard shopping, as the clerks refused to speak English.
You're so lucky.... Enjoy!! :)

It looks like a beautiful city! And the photo of Gleason is adorable...
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful, Montreal sounds so perfect and romantic... I really should go sometime, though I'm all the way on the other side of Canada. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteI found my heart beating faster looking at all the wonderful flea market finds. I hate that night comes and I can't get my fix! Beautiful stuff. My art is usually made out of junk.
ReplyDeleteHope you enjoy your trip to magnificent Montreal a city dating back 500 years...
ReplyDeleteThere are plenty of shops and if you have a chance perhaps a little side trip to Quebec City would be wonderful, just like going to France. (well almost, the language, the history and the beauty is breathtaking)
Enjoy your weekend in our Canada.
Susan
