Hi Laura, love the violets and valentines. I have discovered my old valentine scrapbook from the 50's and am dying to figure out something to do with the adorable images. I'm committed to reorganizing my studio space this weekend. It's in dreadful shape! Wish I could go to Warwick, but maybe another time. Don't work too hard!

Sorry you cannot go! Mom ordered a new little sweetie from Jen just this week!
ReplyDeleteHope someone has pics!
Hugs, Lisa
Vintage cards, violets, two of my dear Grandmothers favorites. She lived to be 102 yrs. young, sharp as a tack, and spunky to the end.
ReplyDeleteI do not remember a year she went without violets. Bless her soul.
Thanks for the memory.
Bless You Laura
I have a wonderful collection of vintage Valentines, you have inspired me to get them out and start enjoying! Have a great weekend~Jacque ♥

Violets and valentines -- a lovely combination. Wish I was anywhere near NY but am 10,000 miles away -- we are having dust and wind today -- the worse combination. Have a good weekend. Blessings, Tammy
ReplyDeleteI would love to go but a bit far! Love the violets AND the valentines:) Have a blessed day!
ReplyDeleteDear Laura,
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely vintage Valentines cards and I love violets. I always used to buy a little violet posy every February but I don't seem to see them anymore. I wonder why ?
I was clearing out the last things of my Dad's yesterday and came across my mum's 21st birthday cards, wedding cards and telegrams and an invoice for their wedding breakfast. I thought of you and according to Carole you tend to let out a little squeal when you find things like that.!! I did !!
I think that today is your last day of work, isn't it.
I hope that it's not too sad a day for you. I will be thinking of you. XXXX
Violets and valentines,how lovely....Kathy
ReplyDeleteI love the vintage valentines. Violets are such a beautiful, tiny flower. We have wild violets that grow in our yard in the summer, and I love them. I wish I lived near enough to go to the Earth Angel Artist barn event. It sounds lovely!
ReplyDeletelove the vintage cards! have a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteLaura,
ReplyDeleteThese card's are so pretty and delicate.
There is something wonderful about
days gone by. They were sweeter in
so many way's I think.
