So many of you asked what I sent Christina in Sweden when she won my 100th post Create Your Own Give Back.....she finally received her package and these pictures show a few of her custom picked goodies.....She told me she loved silky ribbons....so I sent a few yards of all the colors of vintage seam binding that I had...also a thrifted apron in pretty blue, gray, white and yellow colors and a sweet flowered old hankie....a little vintage lace, a tiny wooden farm set, some fun wire things, soaps....etc., etc.... As I poked about to see what would be fitting for Christina and easily mailed.....it was fun to think that these little bits and pieces were going to live a second life all the way over in beautiful Sweden.
...........Here is part of the email she sent me after she received her package:
......Hallo Laura!
Your package arrived on Friday. Sorry I haven't written but I've been quite exhausted for a few days. Working in the garden and other things. Not a good start for writing english. A huge THANK YOU!I am more than overwhelmed. I expected some sort of envelope and when I saw that huge package I said it must be some mistake, but it wasn't! It arrived by a special deliverance, but I wasn't at home so I picked it up later the same day. It took me half the evening to unpack it. Almost like Christmas. So many nice things. (I don't understand this. I don't know how to put it. I'm a bit embarrassed, you see.) The ribbons were beautiful! So many colours… The birdcage – so cute. I've hung it in a window. The packet with soaps is so beautiful I daren't open it. Etcetera, etcetera. And all the beautiful parcels… Thank you, thank you, thank you for everything! When I saw what you charged the package I almost fainted. It took a long time to get here, but the Swedish post-office isn't what it used to be. In fact there is nothing worth calling post-office any longer. Some Swedish blogs with lots of white stuff, Danish/French style they call it, if you like that.
I will send you something later on. I can't promise when. (Anything special you would like from Sweden?)Have a good time Laura! I will continue reading your blog!Best regards....................Stina
Wow I can see why Stina was so excited. Her email to you was very cute. Thanks for sharing that part too.
